About Yogalife International
27 years of bringing yoga into everyday life.
Yogalife brings the depth of the yogic tradition into contemporary life through practice, modern science, self-inquiry and personal guidance.

It began with a simple question.
How can the wisdom of yoga become genuinely useful in the way people live, relate and respond to life?
When Sanjeev Bhanot founded Yogalife in India in 1999, yoga was already travelling around the world, often reduced to physical technique. Yogalife took a different path: teaching yoga as an inner science in dialogue with biology, physiology and modern research.
Some come to teach, others simply to understand themselves better. Our students include doctors and therapists, parents and kindergarten teachers, engineers and managers, artists and expats, and many who never imagined they would join a yoga programme.

Sanjeev Bhanot
A lifelong investigation into how human beings can understand themselves and live with greater freedom.
Sanjeev’s path into yoga began as a boy in Rajasthan, when he befriended the sadhus—travelling yogis—who gathered near his school. That early curiosity about yoga, spirituality and the human mind later led him to study biology and chemistry, naturopathy, yoga therapy and the contemplative traditions of India.
Today his teaching brings together Indian inner science, yoga therapy, modern coaching tools and close observation of the person in front of him.

He later developed Antastha Yoga, his own approach to self-inquiry. Practised blindfolded, it turns attention away from the outer world and towards what is happening within: sensation, breath, emotion and thought. Without the eyes to guide or judge, people often discover a more direct and honest way of experiencing themselves.
Bridging yogic insight and modern science remains central to his work. He continues to explore yoga's effects together with researchers, including at Humboldt-Universität zu Berlin.
His work has taken him from prisoners in Tihar Jail to the pilots of the Solar Impulse project, and into boardrooms and international organisations around the world, including UNICEF, UNFCCC, the ILO, the World Bank, the International Red Cross and the World Health Organization.
Students often experience Sanjeev as someone who sees beyond the surface, meeting them with warmth, humour and close attention to what is happening in the moment. His teaching creates space for greater ease, health, self-exploration and meaningful change.
"The aim is not to create followers, but to help people see more clearly for themselves."

Visit Yogalife LuxembourgYoga is not something you perform. It is something you learn to live.
Our work begins with observation rather than belief. We help people experience the teachings directly and discover what becomes possible when awareness enters everyday life.

Yoga meets science at the School of Mind and Brain, Humboldt-Universität zu Berlin.
Experience before belief
We encourage observation, questioning and direct experience instead of blind acceptance.
The whole person matters
Body, breath, nervous system, thoughts, emotions and lived experience are interconnected.
Tradition must remain alive
We respect yoga's Indian roots while making its knowledge relevant to contemporary life.
Learning is personal
Good teaching meets the person in front of it rather than imposing one journey on everyone.
Different paths. One shared foundation.
Every member of our team brings years of dedicated study, personal practice and teaching. Each also brings a different life, profession and field of experience to the way we teach and support our students.
