Training & certification
The deeper you go into pranayama, the less it is about breathing.
What begins as regulating the breath gradually opens into something more subtle: a way of calming the nervous system, gathering the mind and becoming more present to yourself.
For one week, we step away from the pace of daily life and give the practice room to unfold. The mountains, the lake and the quiet are not a backdrop. They become part of the experience.
Experiences that stay with you.

“This is the place where true transformation happens. I gained profound insights, most importantly, learning to let go of control and discovering how to feel safe in that surrender.”

“What I love most is how the teachers tune into our energy, offering support and guidance in just the way we need it.”

“I learned to live with awareness and intention. I never thought I’d want a tattoo, but now I’m seriously considering one as a reminder of this journey.”
“At a certain point, pranayama stops being a technique. It becomes a doorway.”
More than techniques.
A different quality of attention.
Feel steadier inside
Learn how to use the breath to settle agitation, regulate your energy and meet daily life with greater calm.
Understand your own patterns
Notice how breathing changes with emotion, thought and habit, and how conscious practice can begin to shift those patterns.
Move naturally towards meditation
Experience pranayama as the bridge between the body and a quieter, more focused mind.
Practise and teach with confidence
Understand when and how to use different practices, how to adapt them and how to guide others with care.
From the physical breath to the movement of energy.
You will learn through explanation, observation and, most importantly, direct experience. Sanskrit names are included where useful, but the teaching remains clear and grounded.
Ask about the trainingBreath and the nervous system
How breathing influences stress, emotion, sleep, attention and energy.
Classical pranayama practices
Including balancing, energising and calming methods, developed step by step.
Pauses and inner locks
Working safely with breath retention (kumbhaka) and the energetic locks (bandhas).
The subtle body
An experiential introduction to prana, energy channels (nadis) and centres (chakras).
Preparation and cleansing
Simple traditional practices (shatkarmas) that support clearer breathing.
Integration and teaching
Building a personal practice and learning how to share pranayama responsibly.
A simple place in beautiful nature.
High above Oberstdorf, inside a protected natural landscape, our house sits between woodland, meadows and a clear mountain lake. You wake to the Alps outside the window and end the day in a silence that is increasingly rare.
This is not a polished wellness hotel. It is a simple, warm and personal place close to nature. You can breathe out, become still and let your practice take up more space than it usually can.

Practice. Learn. Rest.
Repeat.
Mornings begin in quiet practice. Teaching sessions and shared exploration unfold through the day, with generous pauses for fresh vegetarian meals, mountain air, walks by the lake and time to simply be. It is an immersive experience, spacious enough for what you learn to settle.

Sanjeev has spent more than 30 years teaching yoga, meditation and pranayama around the world. His approach is experiential, intuitive and clear: he helps you understand the practice from inside your own body, not simply collect more information about it.
The training is supported by Yogalife senior teachers, so the group receives close, personal guidance throughout the week.
You do not need to be an expert. You do need to be curious.
This immersion is designed for yoga teachers and experienced practitioners who want to deepen their personal practice. It is also suitable if you know the basic techniques but feel you have only touched the surface.
If you are unsure whether your experience or health situation is suitable, write to us. We will give you an honest answer.
