Antastha Yoga Malish is one of the series of Antastha Yoga, based on the tradition of the ancient Indian Akharas (ancient physical and spiritual training centers). Sanjeev had the opportunity to learn from these Akharas and blend this knowledge with his expertise in yoga therapy. Yoga Malish is practiced in a warm room with ayurvedic oil applied to the body while performing yoga postures and self-massage techniques.
There are multiple health benefits to this practice. Together with movement of the abdomen, massage directly affects the lymphatic system and facilitates detoxification of the vital organs. By stimulating blood circulation, it also aids in the removal of metabolic wastes, providing instant relief from disease symptoms. Yoga Malish improves nervous system sensitivity and health and creates a perfect impact for a quality sleep. Your joints are becoming more agile, and all muscles are being able to relax deeply. This allows not only pain relief but also increased joint flexibility. You will be able to perform your postures pain-free and smoothly.
Aside from the obvious work on the muscoskeletal system, there is a rather hidden impact of Antastha Yoga Malish. During the practice of these techniques, certain points in the body, so-called Bheda Bindus (Bheda in this context means release, set free, align, puncture) are being stimulated which help to feel deeply relaxed and uplifted at the end of the session.
Open for all curious yoga practitioners.
