What style of yoga do you teach at Yogalife?

We teach traditional Hatha Yoga which gives you a solid foundation for teaching all styles of physical yoga. Our teaching methodology and adjustments are applicable to any type of yoga.

Will I be qualified to teach a variety of styles when I returned home, such as Hatha Yoga, Power Vinyasa or Anusara Yoga?

You will have an international Yoga Alliance certificate which you can use to teach in your country and anywhere else, as long as you become a Yoga Alliance registered teacher. It takes years to train as a specialist in one style of yoga. Yogalife provides you with a strong foundation of yoga knowledge and teaching skills, and from this foundation you will develop your own style of yoga as you progress with your teaching. You may later decide to undertake specialist training in a particular style. What you will learn with Yogalife will be valuable in the future for any style of practice.

Can you tell me a bit about what yoga philosophy is taught? What texts are used?

The course will give you an overview of the history of yoga and yoga philosophy. We predominantly use Patanjali’s Yoga Sutras and the Bhagavad Gita.

How do I make the payment?

We accept payment via bank transfer.

It can be almost impossible to extend your Visa once in India. For full details, check the information online from the Bureau of Immigration, Ministry of Home Affairs, India.

Is accommodation and food provided with the training?

Accommodation and food are not provided as part of this training. You are responsible for arranging your accommodation and all meals while you are in India. Based on our previous experience, we have found this to be the best way to allow students to choose something that suits their own preferences and budget. However, Yogalife will provide you a list of recommended guesthouses once you are registered for the course. We will ask you to let us know where you are staying before the training begins.

Is the orientation meeting compulsory?

One of our criteria for awarding the certification is that you have attended 100% of the course sessions, including the orientation session
