Sanjeev is a free-thinker, a sensitive soul and a born troublemaker. As the founder and guiding force behind Yogalife and Antastha Yoga, he shares his considerable expertise as a learned and intuitive teacher through our Yoga Teacher Training Courses, Retreats, Workshops and his weekly Yoga Classes in Bonn. His teachings bring peace, health and self-exploration.
Over years of practice he has developed a deep intuition that goes beyond his knowledge of anatomy and psychology. Sanjeev possesses the innate ability to see deep within a person, opening hearts to the powerful potential of Antastha Yoga, his signature style of yoga, which is practised blindfolded. Sanjeev teaches that when we remove our sense sight, we become open to experience a different kind of vision, an intense self-awareness that ultimately leads to life-changing growth and discovery.
He combines yogic spirituality with his scientific background in physiology and naturopathy.
Sanjeev embarked on his yoga path as a young boy, who befriended the sadhus around the corner from his school in Dungargarh, India. His interest in yoga and spirituality was driven by a natural curiosity about the human body and mind.
He started teaching yoga over 20 years ago, in 1992 and established Yogalife in 1999. Since then he has trained more than 1000+ teachers from 30 countries around the world and has lead workshops on three continents.
Sanjeev’s passion for sharing his yogic expertise has brought him a wealth of experience working with a diverse range of organisations, including the United Nations, the World Bank, Microsoft and Nokia/Siemens. He trained teachers for Deepak Chopra at the Chopra Center in California and coached Julia Roberts during the making of the Hollywood blockbuster Eat, Pray, Love. He also featured on Indian television spreading the ancient wisdom of yoga. One of his latest projects was the training of the "Solar Impulse" pilot André Borschberg, implementing Antastha Yoga tools and techniques, combining the ancient wisdom of Yoga for health improvement with modern psychology and scientific knowledge.
For Sanjeev, teaching is about connecting with people's hearts and giving them the tools to develop their own potential and strength.
